Easy Bhindi Masala Recipe: A Flavorful Indian Okra Stir-Fry

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb okra, washed, dried, and sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds until they start to crackle.
  2. Add onions and garlic, and sauté until golden.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric, coriander, chili powder, and salt. Cook until tomatoes are soft.
  4. Add okra and mix well. Cook on medium heat until okra is tender and cooked through, stirring occasionally.
  5. Garnish with cilantro and serve hot with roti or rice.
