BrazilFoundation’s XXI New York Gala Highlighted Brazilian Philanthropy, Solidarity and Resilience with a Thrilling Performance by Ludmilla

NEW YORK , Sept. 20, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — The Brazil Foundation’s XXI New York Gala, held on September 19, 2024 , at the Plaza Hotel, was a resounding success, shining a spotlight on the foundation’s mission and the profound impact it has made in Brazil . With generous support from guests and sponsors, the gala raised critical funds to sustain Brazil Foundation’s ongoing efforts to empower communities across the country.

This year’s gala emphasized Brazil Foundation’s history of supporting nearly 900 Brazilian Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and investing over $50 million USD in transformative initiatives. As Brazil Foundation approaches its 25th anniversary, the event underscored the significance of its four core funds: education, social entrepreneurship, gender equality, and environmental sustainability.

The stunning ballroom at New York City’s iconic The Plaza Hotel was transformed by a thrilling performance by Ludmilla , the most influential Black artist in Latin America and the most prominent Afro-Latina in music history according to Spotify.
