Methi Thepla with Avocado
Twist: Adding avocado puree to the traditional Gujarati methi thepla dough for a creamy and nutritious twist. Ingredients:
- 1 cup wheat flour
- 1/4 cup fenugreek leaves (methi), finely chopped
- 1 ripe avocado, mashed
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 green chili, finely chopped
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
- Oil for cooking
Instructions:
- In a bowl, mix wheat flour, chopped methi, mashed avocado, turmeric, cumin, green chili, and salt. Add water as needed to make a soft dough.
- Roll out small dough balls into thin theplas.
- Cook on a tawa with a little oil until both sides are golden and crispy.
- Serve with yogurt, chutney, or pickles.
