Pumpkin Halwa

Twist: A modern twist on the classic halwa, using pumpkin instead of traditional ingredients like semolina or carrots. Ingredients:

  • 2 cups grated pumpkin
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ghee
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 2 tablespoons chopped nuts (almonds, cashews)
  • Raisins for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Heat ghee in a pan, add grated pumpkin, and sauté for 10-12 minutes until soft.
  2. Add milk and cook until it evaporates, stirring frequently.
  3. Add sugar and cardamom powder, and cook until the mixture thickens and leaves the sides of the pan.
  4. Garnish with nuts and raisins, and serve warm.
